Weight loss advice required: I am a 43 year old male with a weight of 216 lbs (98 kgs) and height 5 ft 7 in…?

I would like to reduce my weight. I am willing to control my diet and do exercise. I have an ab lounge and an elliptical machine. By controlling diet and exercising how can I reduce my weight. My goal is to reduce at least 30 lbs in the next 3 months and reduce waistline from 40″ to 36″. Can someone suggest a diet and exercise plan? I am not interested in replies marketing products / services. Thanks in advance for your genuine reply.
